Manually record a donation
Wild Apricot provides you with a convenient built-in online donation form.
Since you might have people who prefer to mail-in their donations, we also provide a way to record those donations in Wild Apricot donations system.
There are two ways to record a donation:
Record a donation while in Donations database
To record a donation received, go to Donation database go to Donations tab and click on [Add donation] button.

You will be presented with donation form :
- Payment details
- Donation date - enter the date of the donation
- Amount - enter donation amount.
- Payment status - Completed or Pending. Normally you would choose Completed, meaning that the funds has been received and processed. Pending can be used for example if you yet have to process the credit card payment. In this case you can mark payment as completed later on by going into the Donation
- Donor details.
- E-mail - you can look up any existing Donor Details by entering email and clicking on Retrieve Donor Details.
If this email is not found, you can enter new donor record for this donation.

After you finished entering donation details click on Submit button. The following screen will show Donation details.

Manually Record a Donation from Current Donor
To add a donation to an existing donor record in your donation database go to Donations tab and click on Donors.
- To find a specific donor you can either scroll through the donor list or use Search box - this works in the same way as Keyword search

- Once you find the donor record, click on the name to open a Donor Details screen and then click on Add donation button.

Add Donation screen is the same as above, donor details are filled out automatically. You could also edit/add any additional details.
