View and edit member record

This page shows how administrators can view and update/edit member records.
For member self-service functionality (how members can update/edit their own records) see Member - Edit Profile)

View record

First find the record you want to update by using Keyword search, Advanced search or manually searching through your member database (click the Members tab). Once you find the record and click on it, you will see a screen similar to this:

Actual fields that appear depend on your member database setup, see Customizing your member database.

Operations for the current record

Every member record has a set of buttons at the top:

  • [Edit] - described below
  • [Delete] - to completely remove selected user from your database
  • [Renew] - to renew member manually. (See Manual member renewal)
  • [Register for event] - to register for event manually. (See Adding event attendees manually)
  • [Archive] - changes this into an Archive record. Archive records do not count into your database total, can not login and are excluded from all emailings. You can always change any record back to active status). (See Archived vs. active records)

Moreover, each member record consists of several parts that help to review a particular information pertaining only to the selected record.
From here you can do the following:

  • Profile access settings - you can overwrite default profile view settings that were set through Member - Edit Profile.
  • If you click on the Events link, you will get a lists of all the events this person has registered for.
  • Click on Payments and you will get a complete payment history for this particular member records.

Edit record

To edit the record, click on [Edit] and you will get the screen below, same screen as when adding a new record, see Adding a new member record.

Note that any user can be assigned with Administration access (See: Managing site administrators)

Click on [publish] to save your settings.
